What is a safety code?

You have a unique safety code with every other user you have some type of connection to in Air, whether that’s because they’re your Air contact, or you’re just in the same group chat. 

All messages in Air are end-to-end encrypted. This means that nobody, even Air, can see the content of your messages. Your safety codes allow you to manually verify that your end-to-end encryption with another user is valid and that their account truly belongs to them.

To verify another person, go to their profile, then tap “View Safety Code”. Follow the instructions on the page to verify them.
